One of my favorite bands is mewithoutYou. They started off as a sort of post-hardcore slam poetry band, and have more recently started to sound like folk music.

Lead singer Aaron Weiss and some friends from the band formed a Weezer tribute band named Sleeezer. I've inserted a video of them playing a favorite of mine, but you should go check out the whole set at YouTube, it's worth your time.
